Elbe was named after the river that runs through Weimar. A great hunter, she was developing nicely and was a strong swimmer but had her field trial career cut short when she hit an electrified fence twice and it knocked her confidence. She turned into a cracking rough shooting dog and retriever so we decided she would make a great dog to use on local shoots for picking up, latterly working for my husband. She had a soft mouth, was very biddable and a quick learner. She was retired at the age of 13 and then enjoyed couch lounging......back where she started! She produced 1 litter.-
